Rosie Knuckles

The lead goes to a real boxer. Jade Pearce fights out of Middlesbrough, and in June 2026 she became Commonwealth super-featherweight champion before she ever stepped in front of a camera.

Trained at Wellington ABC, she carried the fight long before she ever played one. Rosie is not a performance stretched over an athlete. It is the real thing.

Rosie Knuckles is written and directed by Marie Hynes. It is her first feature, grown out of the community she comes from and the North she knows.

Screenplay by Marie Hynes and Kyle Titterton, based on an idea by Marie Hynes. A local story told by someone who lived close to it.

A UK writer and producer with deep experience across film, theatre and television. He began in US independent film with the likes of Tamara Jenkins and Neil Burger, and alongside Robert Redford and Stan Winston, working with Fox Searchlight, Disney, Paramount and Nickelodeon.

He co-produced and line produced the feature Blueberry Inn, and is developing the features The Resurrection Murders and Angle of Reflection and the six-part series John Law. He brings that production experience to Rosie Knuckles.
